Major investors from the United Kingdom

There are several prominent United Kingdom companies currently operating in Victoria that cover a wide range of industries. Major investors in Victoria include GlaxoSmithKline, BUPA, Supercat, Aon, Mark Group and Unilever.

During 2013 and 2014, UK companies have directly invested more than A$380 million across 28 new projects in Victoria, primarily in the business services, software and IT support and retail sectors.

We expect these sectors to continue to perform strongly and will also be focussed on opportunities for UK firms to join Victoria's expanding food value chain in order to help us meet Asian growth demands.

UK firm R&R in 2014 acquired Peters Ice Cream, an iconic Australian ice cream company based in Mulgrave.

Recent investments also include LINPAC, the Kerry Group, TR Fleet, Laing O'Rourke and a slew of technology firms including Precedent, Hartsquare, WebMedia 360, INK Digital and Mimecast.
