Made up of five precincts, Fishermans Bend is Australia’s largest urban renewal area covering 485 hectares.

As part of the precinct's development, notable long-term resident of Fishermans Bend, Boeing Aerostructures will be joined by Australia’s No 1 university, The University of Melbourne’s Melbourne School of Engineering in 2024. RMIT University has also expressed a strong desire to open a campus in the area.
