Business innovation and investment visa

This visa class comprises several streams and offers a provisional visa (Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) (Subclass 188) visa), followed by a permanent residency visa (Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) (Subclass 888) visa) if the requirements of the provisional visa are met. Nomination by a relevant entity is required for all visas.

Business innovation stream
The business innovation stream is for you to establish a new or develop an existing business in Australia. It dominates business migration to Australia by attracting small business owners.

Investor stream
Under the investor stream you may make a designated investment of at least A$1.5 million with Victorian Government bonds, as well as any additional required investments.

Significant investor stream
For high net worth individuals with a highly successful business or investment background. You must invest at least A$5 million.

Entrepreneur stream
The entrepreneur stream allows individuals with a contract for funding from an approved entity to carry out complying entrepreneurial activities.

Global Talent visa program
The Global Talent visa is for individuals who are internationally recognised and have an outstanding record of achievement. It provides permanent residency. Applicants must be highly skilled in a target sector, meet minimum income requirements, and be nominated by a relevant individual or organisation.
