The State Government of Victoria has provided A$350,000 to help an East Melbourne biotechnology company to establish a new manufacturing facility.

The funding will enable dorsaVi Limited to create new jobs, transition existing staff and increase its exports by more than A$2 million.

dorsaVi develops innovative motion analysis device technologies for use in elite sports, occupational health and safety, and clinical applications.

The technology has also been adopted by physiotherapy groups and multinational corporations across the globe and is being used by a number of Australian Football League, English Premier League, National Rugby League and National Basketball Association clubs.

The dorsaVi grant builds o 10 projects that are already underway as part of the state's Future Industries Manufacturing Program which are expected to create 77 new full time jobs.

Companies can apply for grants of up to A$500,000 under the program to invest in new manufacturing technologies and processes that will create jobs and increase productivity.
