The project will also bring new technology to Victoria with the company planning to use oxygen reduction fire safety technology.
NewCold will also adopt state of the art systems to lower electricity consumption when compared with conventional cold storage warehouses.
NewCold is the latest addition to Victoria's thriving food and beverage sector, which is leading the nation in both production and exports.
It will be the main tenant in the Agar Industrial Estate, a newly developed estate in the City of Melton.
The company anticipates its Truganina facility will be the first in a series of projects across the Asia Pacific region. It is exploring options for operations in New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong, as well as other locations in Australia.
