Victoria’s relationship with the Middle East and North Africa (MENA)
|
Victoria has a strong relationship with the United Arab Emirates and a number of countries within the MENA region. This relationship includes a history of mutual business participation with many countries in the region playing a vital role in the Victorian economy as both a source of imports and as an export destination.
The Victorian Government maintains a strong presence in the United Arab Emirates with a Victorian Government business office located in Dubai. This office has the dual aim of both developing and maintaining relationships with potential and current investors and facilitating Victorian exports.
The Victorian Government looks forward to continuing to foster a mutually beneficial relationship with the MENA business community.

There are several prominent MENA companies currently operating in Victoria that cover a wide range of sectors.
Airline services from the region, including Qatar Air, Etihad and Emirates all have a presence in Victoria. Companies focused on food and beverage and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) continue to strengthen ties to Victoria

Gulf States Engagement Strategy
|
The Gulf region is a key priority for Victoria’s international engagement. The Strategy outlines an action plan for Victoria to deepen its relationship with the Gulf and in particular, the six countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council:

The Strategy focuses on developing stronger trade and investment relations to support Victorian businesses, deeper government and institutional links, as well as social, cultural and community exchanges with this important region.
