Geomatic wins big NBN contract

|Victorian company Geomatic Technologies has secured a multi-million dollar to deliver a vital defect-management solution for Australia’s biggest infrastructure project - the National Broadband Network.|
|Leading Australian advanced mobile and spatial technology provider, Geomatic Technologies will deliver a defect and maintenance management solution over three years to support the NBN construction auditing, maintenance and operations processes.|
The solution has been designed to meet the NBN’s current and future quality control requirements. It will also enable the rapid transfer of audit information between field staff and contractors, streamlining the auditing process and realising efficiency gains.
Geomatic Technologies with more than 15 years experience in the industry is a leader in mobile and spatial technology for asset-intensive industries. Its contract with NBN follows other Victorian companies that have secured contracts for the construction phase of the NBN.

Telecommunications product developer and manufacturer Warren & Brown Technologies, optical fibre and hardware manufacturer Corning Cable Systems Australia and software developer SPATIALinfo have all been successful in securing highly coveted contracts for the NBN.
