Volkswagen opens logistics site in Melbourne

Germany-based automotive manufacturer Volkswagen is set to double its parts storage capability in Australia by opening a new storage facility in Melbourne.

The new storage site will serve Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory, complementing the existing distribution centre in Sydney which will continue to service New South Wales, Queensland and the ACT.
The decision to invest in the new parts distribution centre eventuated due to the growth in Volkswagen parts sales over the past three years, Volkswagen's General Manager of Parts, Greg Burden, told global trade and investment news service, IPA World. |
